This Christmas season, you can make a tribute in honor of someone special or in memory of a loved one. During our morning Christmas service on December 22, these names and donors will be recognized.
Come out on Wednesday, December 18th for an evening of caroling, snacks, and fellowship as we bless the Cottages of Chester Village.
Arrive at 6:30pm, bring along a snack to share, and warm up your festive voices to sing!
This year’s Christmas Shoppe will extend beyond helping local families by also blessing children throughout the hurricane-affected parts of NC with gifts for Christmas.
To be involved in this year’s Christmas Shoppe, you can:
Contribute money that will be used to purchase needed supplies and gifts for underprivileged families in our community.
Grab a tag (or two) from our Christmas tree display to participate in our toy drive! See more below…
We are looking to fill 50 sacks with gifts and supplies for children, birth through high school, located in impacted areas of NC.
We hope to receive 2-4 gifts for each tag shopped. Bible story books or Bibles will be included by CFM in each bag, and while clothing is not an encouraged gifts, items like hats, gloves, or scarves are acceptable.
Below are suggestions or ideas for each age group:
Infants / Toddlers (0 - 4 years):

Early / Late Elementary (5 - 11):

This is a retreat to get away and to get together.
We make time to get together to live, love, laugh, and learn; but also make time for you to take advantage of time away to shop, go to the beach, or simply rest!
We've gained fond memories and lasting relationships every year and we hope you will join us to experience this wonderful time!
We stay oceanfront at the beautiful Hampton Inn where breakfast is included each day as well as lots of great giveaways and door prizes!
As always, spaces are limited, so register soon for the best chance of getting a space.
We will host this Fall Festival out on the back lawn and shelter on Thursday, October 31 from 6pm - 8pm. Familiar features include game stations, 4 fun inflatable attractions, cakewalks, and cupcake walks.
Food: Charlie Wayne’s and Palmetto Snow food trucks will be onsite selling food and snacks at this year’s event. We’ll also be giving away fresh-popped popcorn while supplies last.
Candy: We are accepting donations of bagged candy that will be given away to the children that attend. Please provide your donation at our office or at the back of the auditorium by October 24th.
Costumes: We are encouraging everyone to dress up and plan to award especially outstanding attendees. However, we will not permit or admit costumes with scary or inappropriate themes.
Serve: We will need volunteers to help set up, clean up, facilitate games, pray, minister, and more. Sign up to serve during one of our short shifts below.
We hope you will come enjoy this evening and be a light to bring hope, joy, and peace — in the opposite spirit of what the world has grown accustomed to.
Do you have trouble thinking of words to say to God when you pray? Are you afraid some emotions are too intense to express to God? Do you reach the end of a day only to realize you haven’t prayed at all? You’re not alone. Prayer is the way we relate to God, but sometimes it’s a struggle. Throughout God’s Word, we encounter many voices who teach us how to pray.
In this 7-session study, join with six beloved Bible teachers who will help you study prayers in the Bible that can inspire your own. You’ll learn that God welcomes your praise and lament, your thanksgiving and intercession. You’ll see examples of how to pray when you’re alone and when you’re gathered with others. Above all, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray. As you draw near to God through prayer, you’ll find your faith strengthened and your heart united to Christ.
Ladies will meet in the Youth Center on Sundays at 9:00am.

of Chester Freedom Ministries as it has grown. We meet in our Social Hall after the service and provide time for welcomes, discussions, and questions. Children under 12 will also have childcare and lunch provided.
With the darkening condition of our nation and our world, I believe it is a crucial time to devote ourselves to pray and fast. So, beginning on September 27, we are calling CFM to 40 days of prayer and fasting.
This session will end on November 5, which is Election Day. Because it is so natural for us to fixate on the things of the world or our political persuasions, we can use these things as reminders to re-focus our attention on the things of God and the things which are eternal!
If you choose to participate, I am asking you to be very intentional about making consistent time for prayer and setting aside times for God-directed fasting. To guide our prayers, we will make resources available from Acts 29 by Terry Teykl.
Thank you for your willingness to pray and fast! Our ultimate desire is for God’s will to be done and that we remain faithful to trust and honor Him so that our lives may shine bright for His glory!
